Hi, I am Jenny!
I am passionate about anything outdoors and I believe that children need to be outside, exploring, learning and creating their own adventure in order to be happy, healthy, successful and resilient in life.
I grew up in the South of Germany, surrounded by lots of nature with my ‘super-green’ parents - pretty much plastic free!
My brother and I spent most days building dens at the nearby ‘adventure playground’, where children could borrow real tools to build their own dens from scrap wood in a safe environment.
Weekends are for camping!
Most weekends we would go on adventures, ride horses, camp in the dense Bavarian forests, climb mountains in the Alps, forage for food, make campfires and swim in lakes and rivers.
Making a career out of my passion
I moved to the UK in 2008 to study Fine Art at the Arts University in Bournemouth.
During my degree I have acquired essential skills in the arts and crafts, which I use when working with children and adults of all age groups and abilities.
Since 2011, I am a CQFW accredited Level 3 Forest School Leader, running outdoor art and bushcraft sessions across Dorset and Hampshire with schools and other organisations such as local Councils, National Trust, Livability and Dorset Forest School.
Mum of two mini-adventurers!
As a mother of two lively children and partner of a Countryside Ranger from the National Trust, we as a family are very passionate about nature, conservation and outdoor education.
I have recently crowd funded a community fridge for Boscombe, which I run with an army of incredibly kind-hearted volunteers to reduce unnecessary food waste in our local area and provide vital nutritious food for everyone.
I am also part of an amazing group of local Artists. We have regular group and solo exhibitions in the Lighthouse in Poole, L’Artishe in Swanage, Upton Country Park and the Arts University Bournemouth.
